I’ve been franchising in the UK for almost a decade now and that’s taught me quite a few things. One thing is that, in life, anything can happen at any time.
People take on a franchise model business for a fast start and to reduce the initial risks of getting into a new business. Generally, they are looking for an established brand with a proven track record to give them a flying start.
Given that a Super Glass franchise opportunity offers all of the above and a whole lot more you would think you’d be set. But life throws curve balls and you never know what’s lurking just around the next corner, even if you’ve planned your business down to the last detail.
One of the things that sets SuperGlass apart as a mobile franchise business is that there are no minimum expectations on turnover. In this respect, our franchise agreement is one of the most flexible on the market which is amazing given it also has the keenest of royalty rates.
So if the unexpected happens along, then the last thing that one needs is additional pressure from the business.
I remember when setting up the UK Master Franchise, a discussion with our fantastic founder Mr. David Casey. I said, “David my lawyer wants to know our position on low territorial performance i.e. what penalties should apply and how do we ensure a consistent level of performance.
His answer…. “we help them!” He added…. “Hey Phil, you can do this your lawyer’s way or the way that’s made us successful for the last 20 years” Enough said.
A few of our UK franchisees have faced those curve balls over the last few years and I don’t suppose for a minute they will be the last to do so. Our contracts perfectly reflect how we feel about our franchise family. They are designed to allow us to look after them when distractions occur.
In SuperGlass staying in flexible is the key…coz life ain’t straightforward!
